We are delighted to offer this unit with a free three year warranty - giving you an additional year’s peace of mind compared to the standard one year warranty.
The Meaco DD8L dehumidifier is small, light and quiet. It is exceptionally economical to run (using 80 per cent less energy than previous models) and a best seller from multi award winning UK-based manufacturer Meaco.
This dehumidifier will reduce or eliminate mould spores, condensation and other damp issues in your home. It is capable of extracting 8 litres of moisture a day from your home which is equivalent to a 16-20L compressor dehumidifier - helping to prevent damage and health issues caused by an excessively moist atmosphere.
It will also dry your laundry cost-effectively - and so is an ideal choice where space limits the purchase of a tumble drier. The Meaco DD8L is light enough to be carried to a clothes horse where it will offer a more economical solution than a tumble drier for drying laundry, even delicate items like lingerie and jumpers.
Many customers also report that the built-in ioniser helps make air feel refreshed and tingly - like the air on a mountain.
The unit is ideal for use in flats and houses with up to 4-5 bedrooms. Owners of boats, caravans, holiday homes and garages also love this unit because they appreciate it’s low running costs, portability, and fire safety-features.
As a dessicant dehumidifier, it is also suitable for use in conservatories where temperatures can drop overnight and during winter days. Dessicant dehumidifiers also warm the air, a great bonus if you live in a chilly house, or to save on heating bills.
Dessicant dehumidifiers are also valued for the consistency of their operation across all temperatures - so are ideal for very cold rooms or outbuildings.
The DD8L includes Meaco's advanced Control Logic - meaning that it turns itself off when the desired humidity is reached, and then continues to sample the air every 30 minutes. This way the unit will run for just 10 minutes per hour - saving energy and reducing your running costs.
The DD8L turns off when the internal bucket is full which is also made with a splash proof cover to ensure a mess-free journey to pour the water away.
The unit has a humidistat and also an integrated hose - meaning that it can either be plumed for continuous drainage or have the tank emptied manually.

Why is a high pitched noise coming from my Compressor Dehumidifier?
Dehumidifiers using R290 refrigerant often have a high pitched noise when first starting. Similar to a car starting on a cold winter's day, the compressor will often sound different until the internal temperature has risen. This, in most cases, would take around an hour of operation.
